Would depend on how many they make, I have two others already interested so that's
Three to start with if any of u guys are interested let me know as this would be a one of

I know you’ll probably just want to keep this as simple as possible but maybe have a think about modifying the fuel sender arrangement. The original set up is crap and designed to leak. Getting the right replacement part is a pain and expensive.

Fitting a readily available sender unit to the top of the tank would make a lot of sense. It would however mean cutting a hole in the floor of either the parcel shelf or the boot to get access.
Also, if the sender unit was fitted vertically the tank could be baffled.

It might help if there was some indication of the price, and time scale involved.
These are the two things I would need to know in order to decide if it was viable.
The fuel tank sender cannot be that bad. Mine lasted 22 years before it failed and has only leaked after I started messing with it. That said, it could be an area to look at making better. If there was a way to get a better seal than using the current lock ring it would help loads. The sender itself is relatively cheap, but the problems come from getting the replacement to seal.

I am certainly interested, if the price is right. My fuel tank is due to come out within the next 2 months to go to a specialist for restoration but I would go for a new SS tank if the price difference is reasonable.
Not worried about the sender unit, mine doesn't leak at all and the location made it pretty easy to fit a new one when it failed.

Hi All
When I was looking at making a new tank just as a replacement for the standard tank, I looked at putting the fuel sender it the top, this would only need a 50mm hole cutting in the boot for access. I was going to use a VDO dip sender as I already had the new external fuel pumps.
